BrutalFocus does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. All your timers, tasks, streaks, and session analytics remain strictly on your local device.
Overview & Information Collection
BrutalFocus is built with an offline-first philosophy. We do not require account registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.
No telemetry, tracking SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party analytics are embedded in the application.
Data Storage & Persistence
All application settings, focus statistics, task items, and audio preferences are stored locally on your device using encrypted/sandboxed system storage (SharedPreferences on Android / UserDefaults on iOS).
If you uninstall the application or clear app data from your operating system settings, this locally stored information will be permanently erased.
Device Permissions
BrutalFocus requests only the bare minimum permissions necessary for timer functionality:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Android 13+ Used solely to alert you with a local chime and message when your focus session or break timer ends.
VIBRATE
Haptic Feedback Used solely to provide tactile Neobrutalist haptic feedback on button taps and session transitions.
INTERNET & NETWORK
Standard Network State Used only as standard fallback for font caching. No personal data is ever sent over the network.
Third-Party Services
The application contains no advertisements and integrates no third-party tracking or profiling tools.
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)
Because BrutalFocus collects zero personal information, it is fully safe for all age groups and compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR regulations.
